A monologue of a gold farmer from China

By: bluefire

Recently, there are lots of news about the trade of virtual gold, and many people pay attention to this. Most of them

do not know much about it and just think it as a not formal job.

But I don’t think so. I ever worked in a studio as a gold farmer. It is not a big studio, only almost 20 computers,

and at that time my job is in charge of a game named 《EverQuest 2》,and farm

in it.

I work for 10-12 hours everyday and hand in certain amount of EQ2

plat
. If I can get more, thwy will pay me extra money according to the amount. Because the game is new to me, and I just

get about 300 EQ2 Gold, and this just make me finish the task. Many of

the players are from the countryside, also some college students. For some people, the job will be very difficult. They work

so long in a day. But it is good enough for the miners and the people who cannot afford the fees for school and do not get a

degree. At least they can support themselves on their own.
